Synchronized is a 2D Side scroller/Puzzle Platformer that I created in 48 hours for the Game Makers Toolkit Game Jam 2021 using Unreal Engine. This was my first game jam and I challenged myself to pick a genre of games that I hadn't made before and an art style that I hadn't used before. The theme of the jam was 'Joined Together' so my idea was to take this theme literally and have the player control two slime based creatures simultaneously as they work to escape some sort of laboratory.

The main game loop has the players presented with a puzzle that involves both creatures and the player must find a way to solve it for example, the first level includes a huge jump for the creature on the bottom floor but a spiked ceiling for players on the top floor meaning, they must find a way to jump over the gap with the bottom creature without the top creature being killed. The player would be required to reach the elevators at the end of the level with both creatures in order to complete the level. 

This project was a lot of fun to work on for the 48 hours and I plan to revisit it and work it into a fully functioning game sometime in the near future so keep your eyes peeled.
